Zooming on your web browser

Do you ever find yourself on a website and getting closer to or squinting at the screen because the words are too small? Some websites just have their print too small for users to read. However, there is a way you can make the words larger.

Zooming in or out on a web page can make the text bigger or smaller depending on your preference. I will go over how to change the zoom levels in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer.

Chrome — To change the zoom level in Chrome you need to have Chrome open on your computer. Click on the three dots right below the red “X” where you close Chrome. In the pop-up menu, there should be the word “Zoom” with a + sign and a  – sign next to it. Click on the plus or minus to get the words as big or small as you like.

Firefox — Click on the three horizontal lines underneath the red “X” in the top right corner. In the Zoom section click + or – to change the zoom level.

Edge — Edge is almost the same as Chrome. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner and Zoom should be towards the top of the list.

Internet Explorer — Change the zoom level in this browser by clicking on the little gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen and then you should see the Zoom option in the list. Move your cursor over Zoom and it should come up with different values for you to change it to, instead of the + and – option.
