How to move your taskbar

Here is a real quick tip this week for you guys. For most of you the taskbar is located on the bottom of your screen. The taskbar contains your start button, some of your program icons, time and date, etc. Did you know that you can move this bar to a different location on your screen?

If you hold left click in an empty area on the taskbar and move your mouse to the top of the screen the taskbar will display on the top of your screen instead of the bottom. Same for dragging it to the left or the right. If it doesn’t move when doing this make sure that the taskbar isn’t locked by right clicking in an empty area on the bar and making sure there isn’t a check mark next to lock the taskbar. If there is a check mark that means that you can’t move the taskbar to a different area on your screen.

The bottom is the most common place for the taskbar, but if you wanted to try moving it somewhere else to see if you like it better, now you know how to do it.
